Enjoy It Now, Before It's Gone

If you don't know Dimitri From Paris, then I suggest you do your homework. Dimitri is one of the reigning kings of disco edits and has also put together some truly amazing compilation mixes, taking some rare disco and putting unbelievable spins on them, his mixes truly take you to heaven by the time they're done. One album of his that gets constant replay in my car is his In "The House of Love" album. Pure class, very elegant, dramatic, full of good vibes. I literally love every track on his album but I'm just gonna pick out one that's kinda smack dab in the earlier part of the mix, called Enjoy It Now by Tortured Soul. An absolutely captivating edit. Play this one for your lady. For serious. Also, you can totally hear where this is going into the next track and you want it to continue. What a teaser!

Chilly Gonzales - I Am Europe

For those unfamiliar with Chilly Gonzales.. Look him up, and start paying attention. Gonzales is a musical genius from Canada and has a great sense of humor. He has been working with some of the best names in electronic music (Erol Alkan, Boys Noize, Peaches, A-Trak to name a few) and has both a movie and album on the horizon.


The video for his new track “I am Europe” is hilarious, and definitely worth a watch/listen. Tiga is great in the video too!

Chromeo After-party!

For those in the Boston area... This Friday has all the makings of a truely epic night. First we have Chromeo playing the House of Blues, then its time for the AFTERPARTY. Hot Pink Delorean + Nooka Jones + GMGN + the Best Soundsystem in the city!

Hot Pink Delorean will be bringing their wild electro sound, while we keep things smooth and funky in the lounge. 5 hours of amazing music and dreamy visuals. Boston's only after-hours club, 1am-6am 18+.

Friend's of GMGN: Wine & Cheese

Yup.. We are the worst bloggers. Really sorry for the lack of posts... but I bring gifts... gifts of music.

Figured this was a good time to kick off a new segment here at Dirty Moves... Featuring some of the artists we meet...  the ones that make good tunes and are good people: Friend's of GMGN. While we spend hours digging through old records, scanning blogs, jamming to our favorite acts, attending live shows etc... We also get sent lots of music by other artists. Whether because of the blog, our DJ'ing, or just fellow producers - we get sent a very wide selection of new tracks to check out. We always try to listen to everything, as you never know where you will uncover that next gem. Wine & Cheese is the perfect example of this. Its no secret that we love disco... and Wine & Cheese sure as hell can bring the funk.
