We Party Hard

Sometimes its in the fringes where you can find some really great experimental music. For many, many years the UK has been blurring genres with it's "garage" style. A dancehall DJ just tipped me off to this dope track, Party Hard by Donaeo. This one lies on the fringe between UK garage and reggaeton/dancehall.

For me, two of the biggest things that drive house music are escapism and experimentalism. It's that sense of "taking you there", that deepness, the "escape", that really makes house music the best club music. It's also always been about the constant pushing of the musical envelope through sound synthesis. It truly is refreshing to see the impact house is having across all genres of popular music. But very rarely do you see the "deepness" of house crossing over into other genres. This track is certainly an exception.

So with this track, UK artist Donaeo combines the deepness of house with a really tight reggaeton/dancehall beat and the dancehall vibe for a very very sexy stew. If more of this is lurking on the fringes between UK garage and Reggaeton/Dancehall you can bet we're gonna be on it!
