12:34 AM Report From The Streets of Boston

There's something stirring in the streets tonight. There's an almost too silent uneasiness emanating from the streets of Boston. There's a certain edge and tension in the air as you buzz down the highway doing 85, through the metro area tunnels.

A formation of motorcyles is patrolling the quiet highways. They appear to be strapped. Pistols, knives up the sleeves and chains. All the markings of a triad operation. There's something about buzzing down the highway on a night like tonight, streetlights buzzing by, neon flooded signs over chinatown, tinted windows, high speed, tension in the air but you just know this night belongs to the underground.

And Dirty Moves is right in the thick of it as this track, the Tepr Remix of Dangerseekers by Kap10Kurt really captures the atmosphere of this night. The motorcycles, the neon night, the high speed, the mounting tension and of course the 85 mph night drive style synths. Then there's the Dexter remix of Freemind by DJ T. which really captures all of those feelings. With a serious low end, a dirty synth layer over it, with arps and synths coming in and out creating a tension/underground/night drive like atmosphere throughout the track. Download both at the link below.

This is the kind of night were you would pull into an inner city club, and park in the lot fenced in by a steel fence broken apart in several places. Where you see some of the same Triad bikes parked right outside. Where you get looks from every person standing outside the club.

But you go in, hear this track and know its just right. Sebastian Tellier's remix of Ride The Pony is exactly the kind of track you hear booming from outside of this club while you're waiting in line to get in. Then there's that moment when you open the doors and it hits you in the face. It's ghetto, it's urban, it's dirty, it's raw, but has a similar appeal to 'Hustler' by Simian Mobile Disco, in other words you gonna get down.

Reporting on the streets for Dirty Moves,
